September Meeting

What a great night! We had a total of 78 including children. Our domestic group enjoyed Attorney, Donna Ames' presentation on how to prepare an exciting profile. The international group had a Q & A session. Carrie brought photos of her newly referred Guatemalan daughter, Anna. So precious! Check out Jacob's new wheels and Lydia's new mode of transportation. Very cool!

Tonight was Katherine's first meeting after returning home from China with her new daughter, Margaret. It's so exciting to see Margaret warming up and feeling more comfortable.

We welcomed home "Lizzy" on her 2nd day with her new family, Reggie and Ashley. Lizzy was born in Russia 5 years ago and is a welcomed addition to our COL family!

Adoption attorney, Jim Roberts, spoke and answered questions pertaining to adoption laws.

We want to welcome Kelly and Donna R. They are waiting for a domestic adoption. Thank you Mary D. for telling them about our group!

We also want to welcome Barbara M. Barbara adopted a precious little boy, Gabrielle, age 5, 2 1/2 months ago. Linda S. learned about Barbara's adoption through A.P.A.C. Thanks Linda!

We need to continue to pray for the many families who are in the waiting stage of their adoption. Several more are still paper chasing.

Welcome to our new COL blog!

Circle of Love was created in December, 2002 as an outreach ministry of First Baptist North Mobile in Mobile, Alabama. We began with four adoptive families. Our goal was to provide encouragement, information and prayer support for families who were interested in adoption or fostering. In less than five years, we have seen 35 children placed in loving, forever homes and now have 45 families who consider themselves part of our "family."

This blog was created to supplement our website and Yahoo email list. It will provide a space for official adoption announcements, accompanied by photographs when possible. (In order to protect our families privacy, only first names will be used ) We will also summarize our meetings and events. Unlike our Yahoo email list, our blog is open to the public.

We want to extend a special thank you to Melody for setting this up. We have no doubt our new blog will be a great blessing to all of us for years to come.
